Oxford group put on a Jubilee Party

Businesses who meet as part of the Sterling Oxford Central Breakfast networking group rallied together to put on a Jubilee Party for families staying in Ronald McDonald House Oxford. Once Sterling member and Ronald McDonald House Charities Corporate Fundraiser Caroline Sinclair put out the message that the Charity was hoping to hold a party, members joined together to collect snacks and cakes as well as order sandwich platters to ensure the party was a great success.
Ronald McDonald House Charities UK has 13 Houses across the UK situated in or near hospital grounds to enable seriously ill children to have their families close by when they are undergoing treatment, including a 62-bedroom property at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital which opened in April 2020.
Sterling Managing Director Neil Davis said:
“We are proud to be working closely with Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, and when we heard they were looking to put on a Jubilee party for families with a sick child, we knew we wanted to make sure it went off with a bang. We encourage our members to give back in their local communities and hope our contributions will help bring a smile to a few faces and the families enjoy marking the occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee”
Caroline Sinclair, Corporate Fundraiser at Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, said:
“We are truly grateful to the members of the Sterling Oxford Central Breakfast group for their contributions towards our Jubilee Party. It is really important for us to mark occasions for the families staying with us, to bring a bit of normality to their stressful lives, but also to allow them to continue creating precious memories. Some of the children were able to leave the ward temporarily to join the party with their parents and siblings which was wonderful to see”
